Troop 295 Communications Portal Calendar
This is Troop 295's Google Calendar.
I have added the email address of the Troop Scouters who hold a Troop position to the Google Calendar access for our Google Troop Calendar.
Here is how the Google Calendar works. Editing of the Troop Calendar can be done by anyone whose email address has been granted read/write access to our Troop 295 Calendar account by me, if you received an invite from 'Google Calendar' you can add, delete, or modify the Calendar information. This means each of us can add, delete, or modify the Troop 295's calendar events.
The adding, deleting, or modifying is not done on the Troop 295 Communications Portal Website, but instead is done on the Google Calendar website. The Troop 295 Communication Portal's Calendar mirrors the Troop 295 Google Calendar.
The Google Calendar may be reached at http://www.google.com/calendar/render. By going to this website, Google will request your email address during 'log in', which is associated with the Troop 295 Calendar. You can then add, delete, or modify to you heart's content!
I would like to invite each Scouter who received a Google invitation to test our Troop 295 Calendar by adding a calendar event on our Google Calendar - something like "Test (your initials)" on any day on the Calendar. Then go to our Troop 295 Communications Portal Website and go to the "Troop Calendar" page and see if your test event is displayed on the day you put it on.
This tool will permit all Scouters holding an office to add their event dates to the calendar - we all share in the up keep of the calendar for our various jobs within the Troop. Try it, I think this will be a wonderful tool to help us see what is going on 'down the road' or what went on in the past. If you wanted to know when we went to Cabrillo Beach for our Canoeing Merit Badge event.
