Trained
leaders and involved parents provide better programs that keep boys in
Scouting and help them to advance in rank. You are encouraged to take
a course that’s offered at a convenient time and location, regardless of
whether it is in your District. Those Sea Scout
leaders who have taken all courses marked with an * for their leadership
position are considered “trained” in that position and may wear the
"Trained" patch.

Sea Scout Leaders may wear the Scouter’s Training Award
by completing the Scouter's Training Award requirements.
Also see the Scouter's Key requirements
for the Scouter's Key Award.
