Leader Essentials |
Take second. An overview of
Scouting and its leadership from Tigers to Venturing. Required
before taking any leadership training. Helpful
toward understanding how the Scouting training continuum works. This
class need only be taken once in your Scouting career. |

Youth
Protection Training |
Take anytime before contact with youth. Conducted
frequently. A must for every adult leader. Training is valid for 3
years, and may be renewed online. |

Scoutmaster Leader Specific* |
Take third. Scoutmaster Leader
Specific provides detailed training for the Scoutmaster and
Assistant Scoutmaster positions. |

Troop Committee Challenge* |
Take third. Provides detailed
information for the Committee Chairman and Committee Members.
Sometimes is taught along with Scoutmaster Leader Specific, but can
be offered separately. Check with your District Training Chairman. |

Basic Adult Leader Introduction to
Outdoor Leader Skills
(IOLS) |
Take forth or fifth. Introduction
to Outdoor Leader Skills provides hands-on experience in each of the
outdoor skills a Boy Scout is expected to master by the time he
reaches First Class Rank. |

Wood Badge |
Take forth or fifth. Outstanding team-building experience. National advanced leadership
course focuses on ability to lead groups of youth and adults.
Offered semi-annually in Spring and Fall. Each course conducted
over two weekends. Basic Adult Leader Training is required. Highly
recommended. |
